# Code highlighting in Google Docs

A really cool extension for code highlighting in Google Docs! It's called **Code Blocks**, and it's open source and written in JS.

Installation

1. Open addons in google docs and search for codeblock\
   \
    ![](/files/eXWoVn3LSRXnlMGe5nLz)

2\. Install and start using

<https://github.com/alexwforsythe/code-blocks>

After adding it to a document, it allows you to format code in Google Docs, with syntax highlighting and a choice of themes! Figured it'd be good help to our teams putting code into google documents!

My colleague Gordon introduced me to this awesome tool.
